Baby Bear

Mama Bear, Papa Bear, leaned against a tree,

Under the sun, with a view of the sea.

Baby Bear too, for it was all three,

Enjoying the air and each other’s company.

Mama Bear, Papa Bear, their time spent relaxing.

Not Baby Bear, no, restless was he.

Baby Bear, Baby Bear, spotted a bee.

Baby Bear follows, where will it lead?

Baby Bear, Baby Bear, climbs up a tree.

Where there’s a bee, there will be honey.

Baby Bear spots the hive of the bee,

Out on a limb, hanging dangerously.

Baby Bear, Baby Bear, on the limb of the tree.

Snap! goes the limb, heavy is he.

Down falls Baby Bear and all of the bees,

Along with their hive, no longer in the tree.

Baby Bear smiles. It was worth it, for he

Now licks his lips thinking, “Mmm, honey!”
